The Melt Podcast team,

I’m David Crawford, a British author and long‑time practitioner of contemplative disciplines (Vajrayana, Zen, and Gnostic thought). In 2024 I had a near‑death experience that didn’t lead to tunnels, comforting archetypes, or mythic visions instead, I encountered a soul-processing system that was cold, clinical and utterly indifferent. Not heaven. Not hell. Just administration.

From that came A Manual for the Dead, a stripped‑down field guide for anyone who suspects (or has lived) experiences where the hidden mechanics of reality bleed into perception. This isn’t speculation, armchair philosophy, or fuzzy New Age “meaning”; it’s based on lucid encounter, lived memory, and decades of inner work.

The book explores:
• how to identify post‑death entities (psychopomps, watchers, manipulators)
• avoiding “false guides” and recycling traps
• reclaiming memory and spiritual autonomy after death
• practical techniques drawn from Vajrayana, Zen, and hard‑won inner discipline
It’s scheduled for publication through TrineDay in July 2026, but I’m handling outreach and platform-building personally in advance.

I’d love to join The Melt to talk about what it’s like to see behind the veil, how consistent metaphysical practice shaped that encounter, and why so many near‑death narratives miss the mechanics of what actually happens.
Your audience people who value deep, first‑hand accounts of the anomalous and ineffable will get this immediately.
If you’re interested in having me on, I’d be honoured to speak.

Best,
David
